Talkeetna is home to a fantastic and serene lake system. Our inflatable stand up paddle board rentals are perfect for exploring the calm waters. They pack down into a backpack for easy carry.

We have one of a kind custom local trail maps that highlight all our favorite trails in the area. Stop by for free trail maps and current trail conditions.
SKI RENTALS
Our shop stays open year round. In the winter our trail system triples in size. Rent a pair of nordic skis, snowshoes or a fat bike and explore the quiet scenery of a Talkeetna winter.

Our TKA Hat is a lightweight, quick-dry fabric five-panel cap. Reflective screen print. Adjustable plastic fastener ensures a perfect fit for most. * Folks with voluminous hair or larger heads may prefer an alternative TGS hat.

WINTER TOURS

NORDIC SKI TOUR
Gear up with skis and set out with your local guide on a custom route matched to your skill level. Explore Talkeetna’s serene winter trails. Glide across frozen lakes and snow-covered paths with breathtaking views of Denali.
End your adventure with a complimentary hot chocolate or coffee back at the shop.
WINTER FAT BIKE TOUR
Get fitted on your fat bike (both electric and non-electric available!) and set out with your guide on a custom route designed for your private group. Ride through serene, snow-covered landscapes with stunning views of Denali and the Alaska Range, then warm up with a complimentary hot chocolate or coffee back at the shop.
NIGHT SKY TOUR
With minimal light pollution, Talkeetna offers incredible views of the Aurora Borealis, Full Moon, and the night sky. Join a guided snowshoe tour through the forest under the stars; an unforgettable winter adventure, Aurora or not. Warm beverages included.

Our rentals include fat tire bikes, electric assist mountain bikes, electric assist cruiser bikes, regular mountain bikes, 3” mountain bikes, stand up paddle boards, bear spray, nordic skis, snowshoes and altai skis.

Our bike rental package includes helmet and water bottle carrier. Our nordic ski package includes boots and poles. Our snowshoe and Altai ski rentals include poles. Our paddle board rentals include pump, PFD, foot strap and carrying bag.

We offer hourly, half day and full day rentals as well as weekly and seasonal rentals.

Depending on what time of year you are visiting, bring clothing and layers according to the season. Weather can change quickly and we always recommend bringing an extra layer for your adventure.

We have a wide variety of trails in Talkeetna open year round that support a range of different outdoor activities. From biking, hiking and skiing to ski-jouring, dog mushing, paddle boarding and pack-rafting, there are places to explore for everyone. Stop by the shop for local trail maps and current trail conditions.

We recommend making reservations ahead of time especially for larger groups or holidays. We require full payment up front to secure your booking. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to your pick up time. If the cancellation is within 24 hours, no refund will be given, unless extreme weather permits. Our heli-biking tour and our night sky tour are weather dependent and full refund will be given if weather does not allow us to conduct our tour.

Yes! We offer a drop off and pickup service for $20 for both ways anywhere along the 14 mile spur highway. Reservations are required.

Yes! We offer after hours pickup and drop off. We’ll provide a bike lock and code for you to access your rental. Reservations required. Call for more details.
