  1. Chase Trail

The Chase Trail is a 9-mile gravel path that hugs the Alaska Railroad. This trail is relatively flat, making it a great choice for beginners, and takes riders through the forest until it meets up with a private off-grid residential area.

  2. River Trail

An alternative to biking along Beaver road. This trail winds through the forest connecting F street with the entrance to the Ridge Trail and Old Lake Road area.

  3. Ridge Trail

Talkeetna’s most adventurous trail climbs about 400 feet in elevation over 3-5 miles. Views of the Alaska Range are visible on clear days from a few different points on the trail. Downed trees and muddy sections make this trail a true Alaskan adventure.

  4. Old Lake Road

This gravel road with minimal traffic connects Beaver Road to Christensen Lake Road. This route has a decent amount of elevation gain and loss with a few large hills. Perfect for our electric gravel bikes or a nice workout. At the connection point of Old Lake Road and Christensen Lake, there is a large gravel parking lot with great views of the Alaska Range and Twister Creek.

  5. Paved Bike Path

Talkeetna’s paved bike path follows the entirety of the Talkeetna Spur Highway for 14 miles. This trail is a great connecting point to the Talkeetna Lakes Park, Flying Squirrel Bakery, Denali Brewing, Alaska Birch Syrup and the Parks Highway.

  6. Talkeetna Lakes Park

Talkeetna Lakes Park is the most extensive trail system in the Talkeetna area. There are options for all abilities and desired trail lengths. All the trails wind around a system of lakes, with access points and portages to each one. Views of Denali can be seen from a few points in this system and often moose or other wildlife is visible.
